Culture of wine
The territory of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene, in addition to being renowned from a natural point of view, also represents a territory rich in history and culture.
In the famous territory, the Strada del Prosecco e dei Vini dei Colli di Conegliano-Valdobbiadene is enhanced. The eno-gastronomic tourist itinerary starts from the Oenological School of Conegliano, founded by Manzoni, ending on the hills of Prosecco di Valdobbiadene.
On 7 July 2019, the Consortium for the Protection of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG that the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene have been declared “UNESCO World Heritage” was accepted. Now they represent the 55th Italian site to protect and protect the uniqueness of this authentic cultural landscape.
The main attributes concern the distinction of landscape, where nature and human history have been shaped by an adapted and specific system for viticulture and land use. Despite many changes over the years, many historical documents prove the authenticity of this landscape.
