Gilbert & Gaillard represents the multimedia group dedicated to wine founded in 1989 by François Gilbert and Philippe Gaillard. Present in 22 countries, the Gilbert & Gaillard Group is also known for the International Wine competition organized by Wine Tasting and Trading Ltd (Hong Kong) that awards medals to wines from all over the world.
Let’s get to know François and Philippe better.
François, with a PhD and a diploma of superior teaching in geography, specializes in the study of the terroir of wine. Professor for 15 years before succumbing to his passion for wine full time. Philippe, born in Touraine to a family of winemakers, after studying viticulture and oenology was commercial director of an important wine distribution group French.
Gilbert & Gaillard has been one of France’s leading wine guides for over two decades, but equally important is the Gilbert & Gaillard International competition that saw us participate for the first time in this 2022 edition. The competition includes a blind tasting of the wines proposed and marked according to the 100-point scale. We are really proud to announce the Gold Medal for Valdobbiadene DOCG Extra Dry and the newcomer of the DOCG line, Rive di Rolle Extra Brut Valdobbiadene DOCG.
